No! Local Cast operates entirely within your local Wi-Fi network (LAN). Even if your ISP is down or your router has no outside internet connection, devices on the same Wi-Fi can mirror smoothly.
No installation is needed on the receiving device. Simply open the built-in browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or TV browser) and type the IP address shown in your Local Cast app.
Absolutely. There are no cloud relays, no proxy servers, and no data tracking. For added security, you can enable a 4-digit PIN in the app settings, requiring any viewer to enter the PIN before receiving the stream.
Ensure both your phone and receiving device are connected to the exact same Wi-Fi router. If your router has "AP Isolation" or "Guest Mode" enabled, disable it in your router settings so devices can communicate with each other.
